Gilee 
A Still Life Artist with flair for creating precise photo realistic  oil paintings, reminiscent of the Old Masters.

Born, raised and studied art in Southern California,  now residing In Nevada.  Her paintings were first presented to the pubic in the 1970's  and have been collected since.  She has captivated art enthusiasts in  the United States and abroad with her elegant realism.

​She began exhibiting her paintings in in the western states of America, represented further by an  artist agent taking her paintings across the US and abroad.  With a still life of hers  being one of only two paintings  chosen to hang in the  the Western White House in San Clemente, California, in the  American  president office.    A Silver Chalice against Blue Velvet, a favorite color of  the President. 

The technique she uses employs rich colors and exciting detail, achieved by applying  numerous layers of oil  paint followed by  many  applications of transparent oil glazes on a extreme smooth surface.   And of course time, patience and love for art.  Capturing the light and glow in each painting, bringing movement and elegance with every painting she creates.

The Subject matter she chooses  reflect the past to the present, from jewel encrusted goblets lit by flickering candles of yesteryear to  detailed decorated kimonos of the Geisha, as well as the beautiful contemporary objects of today.  

Many with back drops that will take you to far away places and fantasy worlds, and hidden surprises.
